Powerball has joined Mega Millions to offer you chances to win
millions FOUR nights each week.
Mega Millions is drawn Tuesday and Friday; Powerball
is drawn Wednesday and Saturday.
How To Play Powerball
For Powerball, we draw five white balls out of a drum with 59 white balls, and one red ball out of a drum with 39 red balls, every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
Win by matching one of the nine ways to win (see how to play, here). Each play costs $1. Choose your own numbers or select Easy Pick.
Power Play Can Increase Your Prize |
 |
Power Play is an add-on feature that multiplies winners’ non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4 or 5. When you buy a Powerball ticket and tell the clerk to add Power Play, you’ll pay $1 more per play.
The Power Play number (2, 3, 4 or 5) is randomly drawn before each Powerball draw show. If you win when you've added Power Play, your non-jackpot prize is multiplied by the Power Play multiplier for that draw. If you match five numbers without the PowerBall number, you would automatically win $1 million — guaranteed.
